Arti U Shah. M.D., F.A.A.P.

Experience: Practicing general pediatrics in the greater Lansing area since 1992. Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University

Education: Undergraduate: Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from BJ Medical College, Gujarat, India (1980-1985). Rotating Internship at BJ Medical College Gujarat, India (1986-1987)

Residency: Pediatric Residency in Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn New York (1989-1991)

Dr. Shah lives in Okemos with her husband, Upendra. She has a daughter, Shivani, and a son, Rishi. She enjoys travelling and watching tennis in her free time.

Dr. Hart

Courtney J. Hart, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Experience: Dr. Hart has been practicing Pediatrics in the Lansing area since 2002.

Education: Undergraduate degree in Biology at Michigan State University, Medical Degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and completed her residency in Greenville, South Carolina at Greenville Hospital System.

Privileges: Sparrow Health System and McLaren (Formerly Ingham Regional Medical Center)

Certification: Board Certified since 1999 by American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Hart lives in East Lansing with her husband Todd, and four sons. In her free time she enjoys watching MSU Men's basketball, spending time with family, kayaking with her father, and baking. She is interested in allergy free cooking and would like to return to running in the future.

Poomathi Sadhishkumar, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Experience: Dr. Sadhishkumar has more than 20 years of pediatrics experience and has been in Lansing area since 2004.

Education: Dr. Sadhishkumar earned her medical degree through the prestigious Stanley Medical College, University of Madras, one of a top-ranking University in India, completed her residency at MSU Sparrow Pediatric Residency Program, Lansing, Michigan.

Certification: Board Certified in Pediatrics, NRP, PALS

Professional Affiliations: Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Michigan Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics (MIAAP).

Dr. Sadhishkumar is fluent in 4 languages and has not yet stopped learning more.

Dr. Sadhishkumar lives in Okemos with her husband and their twin sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, bike riding, choreographing for various cultural programs.

Dr. Sadhishkumar is a strong believer of healthy eating, its mind body connections and dedicates a portion of her free time in creating new nutritious recipes especially for those with food allergies. Her special interest is promoting lifestyle modifications for healthy physical and emotional wellbeing, providing tips and simple recipes for children with picky eating, food allergies including Celiac Disease.

Dr. Sadhishkumar strongly believes in establishing trust and rapport with her families to better serve their needs and enjoys providing the best possible care for pediatric patients of all ages.

Anna McFarland

Anna (Stala) McFarland D.O.

Experience: completed Pediatric Residency From 2018 to 2021 and began working at Capital Area Peds shortly after

Education: Undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Biology from Michigan State University. Medical Degree obtained from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Certification: Pediatric Board Certified

Dr McFarland lives in DeWitt with her husband, Jeff. She enjoys watching/attending MSU football and basketball games, spending time in the outdoors and traveling to new places.

Her interests in medicine include treating/managing newborn care, asthma, acne and hormonal contraception.

Jayme Boros

Jayme Boros, CPNP.

Experience: 10 years of pediatric nursing experience including the Pediatric Emergency Department at Mott Children’s Hospital and the Congenital Heart Center at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)- Michigan State University (2012) & Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)- Wayne State University (2017).

Certification: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (2017).

Professional Affiliations: Member of National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Community Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Jayme lives in East Lansing with her family. She is an avid golfer, lives for Michigan State Football, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Jayme has a special interest in congenital heart disease, heart murmurs, and sports associated injuries.
